Get excited! It is almost time for the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Telethon live on KY3. The 2013 telethon will mark Children’s Miracle Network’s 28th year in our local community! It will take place Saturday, June 1st from 10:30PM-Midnight and Sunday, June 2nd from 8AM-5PM. Leading up to the telethon, we are inviting all of our families to participate in the annual Every Family Campaign. The Every Family Campaign is designed to give our families the opportunity to get involved and give back. If $500 or more is raised in honor of your child, your family will be given the opportunity to present a check reflecting the total amount the Every Family Campaign raised live on KY3 with other miracle families on Sunday, June 2nd!
So how does it work? Families that have received assistance from CMN Hospitals can ask their friends and family to make a donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in honor of their “Miracle Child.” There are two ways that families can get involved:
1) Create your own website with your child’s picture and story by logging onto www.helpmakemiracles.org.You can direct your family and friends to go to your website and make a donation. You can also send out emails asking for donations, or post/share the link on your Facebook page asking for donations in honor of your child! Donations that are mailed into the CMN office will not show up on your website; however they will count towards the child’s final total. Please ensure that all donations that are mailed into the CMN office indicate what “Miracle Child” they are in honor of so that we can ensure the donation counts toward your child’s total.
2) Here is a spreadsheet for you to write down the names and addresses of your friends and family so Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals may send a letter asking for their support in honor of your child if you choose not to create a website. We do encourage you to let that friend or family member know ahead of time that we will be sending them a letter.
Here is a sample of the letter that will be sent to the names that you provide for us. After you fill out the spreadsheet, please mail it back by Friday, Feb 22, 2013.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will track donations received on behalf of each child. All donations must be received by Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 to be counted towards the child’s total for this year. The family that raises the most money will be awarded a special prize!
