Philanthropy is an important part of our culture at CoxHealth. Because of generous support from individuals like yourself, businesses, foundations and organizations, we are able to provide world-class healthcare in the Ozarks. As the only locally owned nonprofit health system in the region, we are especially grateful for members of The Ellen Burge Legacy Society.
The Ellen Burge Legacy Society is named in honor of Ellen Burge, who generously donated her duplex in 1906, which became the first home for CoxHealth and Springfield’s second hospital.
You can become a member of The Ellen Burge Legacy Society by including your Children’s Miracle Network at CoxHealth and/or the CoxHealth Foundation as a beneficiary in your will, trust, or estate plan. Simply provide us with the cover page and beneficiary section indicating you have remembered us in your will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy, financial account or title of specific property.
Becoming a member of The Ellen Burge Legacy Society includes the following benefits*:
- A special Induction Package
- Your name listed on the Donor Wall at Cox South
- A personalized engraved award, certificate, and lapel pin
- VIP invitations to exclusive CoxHealth special events
Your Children’s Miracle Network at CoxHealth helps local children experiencing all types of injuries and illnesses. From micro babies fighting for their lives in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to teenagers dealing with serious short-term illnesses or chronic diseases, you can ensure the best medical care for children in the Ozarks.
The CoxHealth Foundation is your path to helping friends and family in the Ozarks live healthier lives. You can support any area or department within CoxHealth with your giving. Donors can also help support patient care, technology, facilities, or create innovation for the future with your gift. You can also honor a caregiver, create a memorial or leave a legacy.
