Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at CoxHealth helps kids by providing assistance in the following areas:
- Direct Family Assistance supports families through our Special Needs Fund and Family Care Grants as well as providing meal trays for families with children hospitalized at Cox South and meal vouchers for families with infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- C.A.R.E. Mobile, a mobile health clinic providing health screenings and immunizations to children with limited access to health care.
- Child Life, a program designed to help children understand and cope with what they experience in the hospital.
- School-Based Virtual Visits allow children to be seen by a licensed healthcare provider for minor health conditions then return to class quickly.
- Distribution Grants help CoxHealth system departments with requests for medical equipment, supplies and programs that assist children.
- Educational programs designed to prevent injury and illness. These include:
- WASTED, an anti-drinking and driving campaign.
- CARDIAC Kids, a cholesterol screening program that identifies students at risk for heart disease and diabetes.
- Never Shake a Baby, a program dedicated to preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome.
- Bicycle Safety and helmets, a program that provides bike safety education and free helmets.
- Water Safety, which provides water safety education and free life jackets.
- Child Passenger Safety, a program dedicated to child passenger safety education, and free car seat checks and installations as well as seats for families in need.
- Firearm Safety, which teaches basic gun safety and awareness, safe handling and storage of firearms, and rules of safe firearm use.
- Farm Safety, a program for farmers and their families to reduce injury and fatalities as a result of one of the most hazardous industries in the U.S.
- Home Safety, a program dedicated to preventing household injuries.
- Infant Sleep and Safety, which addresses common infant injuries and general baby safety.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
8:30 a.m.–Noon and 1–4:30 p.m.
