Every day, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at CoxHealth makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and families. But during the first week of December, that impact is amplified through Miracle Week — a special time dedicated to raising funds that provide critical medical care and support when it’s needed most.
“Miracle Week is special for us every year because it provides a wonderful opportunity to share stories from local patients who were directly impacted by the generosity of donors,” says Tim Siebert, executive director of CMN Hospitals at CoxHealth. “The donations made during Miracle Week support children and families at all stages of their care journey. We want to do all we can to help ease these and other health related burdens so local children can thrive.”
In 2025, Miracle Week runs from Dec. 1-7, with donations supporting a wide range of initiatives, including:
- Special Needs Fund: Offers direct financial assistance for medical needs not covered by insurance or Medicaid, such as prosthetics, wheelchairs, leg braces, hearing aids, prescriptions and travel expenses for out-of-town appointments.
- Family Care Grants: Provide financial support to families whose children are hospitalized or require specialized therapy.
- Educational Programs: Includes campaigns like Teen Driving (focusing on driving safety), Never Shake a Baby (Shaken Baby Syndrome prevention), and CARDIAC Kids (early detection and education around heart disease and diabetes). Additional programs promote safety in areas such as car seats, water, bicycles, firearms, homes, farms and infant care.
- The C.A.R.E. Mobile program: Mobile health clinics offering screenings and immunizations to children with limited access to care.
- Child Life Program: A dedicated team helping hospitalized children maintain a sense of normalcy, supporting emotional well-being and healing.
- School-Based Virtual Visits: Enables children to receive care at school and return to class quickly.
In addition to monetary donations, CMN Hospitals at CoxHealth also accepts stocks and bonds, real estate, personal property, life insurance policies, certificates of deposit, retirement funds, as well as bequests from estates. All donations help local children, giving a great benefit to families across the region.
“CoxHealth funds the operating costs of our local CMN Hospitals office, so 100 percent of gifts and proceeds benefit children right here in the Ozarks,” says Siebert.
